[Help] What’s the best way to re-do a crap grouting Joc?

I messed up last night. My grout set up before I could sponge it down, and despite all my efforts to scrape and chip away at it it still looks like hell. I was wondering if there were a an easy-ish way to fix the problem. Basically most of my grout is sitting too high, and I need to gringo ut down to bring out all the straight lines. I was thinking about using a wire buffing wheel on my angle grinder, but I'm worried about scratching up the ceramic tile…

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: I used sanded medium grey grout in 3/16 in spaces over glossy white ceramic subway riles.
