Ant infestation is a good thing?

My Hibiscus plant has always been infested with what I believe to be Aphids. In the last few months the local ant population found out about this bush and has moved in. Now these ants are of the tiny variety. Bigger than a sugar ant, but smaller than the ones that bite.

I was worried for a bit and increased my already sporadic neem oil treatments, to no avail. Then, upon further study, it seemed like the ants were eating / killing the Aphids.

Plant looks healthy and flowers continually. Just…. ants?!
